2、Introduction
Qin Ruiting is the associate professor of Nankai University Law School. He has been awarded the DAAD-Scholarship in Germany from 1999 to 2004 and the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies International Scholar Exchange Fellowship for 2007-2008. He received the Prize for the Excellent Article by Tianjin Social Science Society in December 2012 for his article “Thoughts on reforming the Teaching of Private International Law”. He was awarded the First Prize by the Chinese Association of Judicial Trial Theories of China Law Society for his article “Analysis on the Choice of Law Clause in the Bill of Lading” as well as the First Prize for the excellent academic works 2019 by China Society of Private International Law for his Monograph “Study on the Judicial Practices of Chinese Private International Law.”
Professor Qin has given numerous speeches and lectures at the conferences of many Chinese legal professional associations, such as China Society of Private International Law, the Chinese Association of International Economic Law, the Council for the Maritime Trial of the Chinese Association of Judicial Trial Theories of China Law Society and the Chinese Association for European Law Studies.
Professor Qin has Chaired and completed “Study on the Practices of Chinese Private International Law”, which is a Humanities and Social Sciences Research Planning Fund Project of the Ministry of Education. He has presided over Research on Choice of Law Agreements, which is a ministerial-level law research project of the Chinese Law Society .He is a director of China Society of Private International Law, a member of the Academic Committee of the European Studies Centre of Nankai University, a part-time research fellow of Human Rights Research Centre of Nankai University.
