On Aug. 19th,2022, Professor Chubei Ping, a well-known law scholar, Vice President of Dalian Maritime University and Dean of the Law School, with a delegation visited and exchanged ideas with Nankai University. Li Xiangyang, Minister of the Propaganda Department of Nankai University, attended the exchange symposium.
Li Xiangyang, on behalf of Nankai University, expressed welcome to Mr. Chu and the delegation from Dalian Maritime University. Mr. Li introduced to the guests the 100-year history and new development of Nankai University. He said that Dalian Maritime University has many advantageous disciplines and experience in running schools so that there is a good foundation of cooperation between the two universities. He hoped that both sides will further strengthen exchanges and interactions, especially mutual support to promote the strength of law and marine-related disciplines so that jointly train more outstanding talents.
Vice President Chu Beiping expressed his appreciation for the development achievements made by Nankai University and introduced the advantageous disciplines, faculty and talent training of Dalian Maritime University. He said that experts and scholars of the two universities have always maintained good communication and exchange with each other. Nankai has a rich history and a solid discipline foundation, so he hoped to take this opportunity to visit and learn from the development experience of Nankai University. He wished the two universities could jointly improve the level of schooling.
Professor Song Hualin, Dean of Nankai University Law School, introduced the main progress of Nankai Law School in teaching, scientific research and social services in recent years. He said that the Law School of Nankai University was deeply honored that President Chu led a delegation for exchange. Dalian Maritime University has a distinctive law discipline and there are many advantages to learn from it.
The scholars of both universities discussed in depth about the construction of law disciplines, talent training and college management. Mr. Chu and his delegation also visited moot court, library and data center of Nankai University. It is hoped that the two sides would strengthen interaction so that make common progress in the future.
